Our Work

Outback Firefighting, Inc. contracts with the US Forest Service, participating in the suppression of wildfire and camp support.

Sanctioned by the Northern Rockies Coordinating Group (NRCG) of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG). Outback Firefighting, Inc. also provides the latest in Wildland Fire Training.

Calf Canyon/Hermit's Peak

Las Vegas, NM

Fire burned for 4½ months

(Apr 6 - Aug 21, 2022)

Burned 340,000+ acres

Largest and most destructive wildfire in New Mexico. Caused by escaped prescribed burn.

We contributed various resources including engines, potable water trucks, UTVs, and camp support.

Moose Fire

Salmon, ID

Fire burned for 4 months

(July 17 - Nov 10, 2022)

Burned 130,000+ acres

Caused by an unextinguished and unattended campfire

We contributed multiple engines, weed wash stations, hand wash stations, UTVs, and camp support to the fire camp site.

Mosquito Fire

Placer/El Dorado Counties

Fire burned for 6½ weeks

(Sept 6 - Oct 22, 2022)

California's largest wildfire of 2022

Alleged faulty PG&E power lines were the "cause and origin"; U.S. Forest Service's investigation is ongoing. We contributed several engines to this fire incident.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.

    • Must be a high - school graduate or possess a GED certificate.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
